Pink Eye (Viral Conjunctivitis)

This is a very common condition that causes redness (one eye or both) and can cause light sensitivity or clear/yellow discharge. It is a virus, so it is generally spread from person to person or can happen while you have the common cold.

Our physicians typically recommend a mild steroid drop to be used during the course of the virus, usually 7-10 days. During this time you will still be contagious, so we advise our patients to be aware of spreading the virus within their household or school.
